God's goodness flows throughout the entire unfallen universe. Grace brings blessing where cursing belongs; it brings forgiveness where there should be condemnation. Humankind's fall into sin meant that if any humans were to be saved, there must be another creation. So, on the day when sin contaminated the earth, God created salvation for the whole human family; not just for Adam and Eve, but also for all those who were yet to be born. The vehicle by which this salvation commuted from heaven to earth was grace, and as Adam and Eve tearfully turned their backs on the tree of life, never to taste of its fruit before their deaths, they wore the clothing God had provided -- a symbol of the righteousness of Christ.
